Deleuze’s Society of Control

“The philosopher creates, he doesn’t reflect.” (Gilles Deleuze)

Gilles Deleuze is a French philosopher of the late 20th century. His influential work focused on philosophy, literature, film and art. Deleuze’s work can be categorized into 2 groups: interpreting works of other philosophers or artists, and illustrating heterodox concepts.

I’ve written a short review on his work ‘Society of Control’ in which Deleuze draws on Foucault’s ‘disciplinary societies’. The purpose of this article was to express my concern regarding Deleuze’s paradoxal view on judgement.
